Adam, Thank you so much for your Technology Integration Initiative. This is such a necessary proposal, as many students across America are using iPads in the classroom. Moreover, as many of the students are learning to use iPads, many teachers have no proper training and experience to advise students on how to properly use iPads. Technology can be wonderful to assist the classroom, but as teachers, we should constantly be evaluating technology and striving to have the best knowledge possible on using the technology. If we do not have the best skills to use technology, it can become more about just using technology, as opposed to introducing new technology to students that they will need to know how to use, in conjunction with the subject matter and learning. If the technology is needed, then it shouldn't be used. However, if used properly, technology like iPads can be such a great tool to access apps and books in a way that makes learning easier and quicker than ever. In my opinion, this is the type of technology we should be seeking: whatever helps learning easier and quicker. Your technology initiative helps to address this need in technology. Thanks!
I thought I would never be able to use an ipad or iphone to me they felt like something else that I had to adapt to. When I got my ipad after several apps and searches I was hooked! Then when I learned I could record my classes I was in love we have been together ever since. I think it is important to be open to being teachable that was my lesson learned. Now I have a different opinion about my iPad it is a great tool for learning all kinds of things. There are apps for almost everything.
